Once again BHCFE will be hosting the reception table at the 1/2 marathon starting point on June 3rd, 2012. Volunteers are needed if you would like to help us please contact the center at 605-348-3244. We need a total of 12 volunteers. This is a great public event to be involved with, come join us in serving our community.

Applications being accepted for Open Board of Directors positions

The nominations committee is know accepting applications for open positions on the Board of Directors for BHCFE. If you are interesting in running for one of the positions please drop by the center and pick up an application and job description. All applications must be returned to the nomination committee by June 4th, 2012.

Black Hills Pridefest 2012 will take place June 8th & 9th, 2012 in Rapid City, South Dakota events are planned for various locations here in Rapid City.

June 8th 7p-1a Youth Dance (non-alcohol event) cover charge and location TBA

June 9th Pridefest in the Park Wilson Park off Mt Rushmore Rd. 11a-4p Food, merchants information and entertainment Gazebo 5p Potluck Picinic at the Gazebo 9p-1a Pride Dance $5.00 cover. Eagles Club 1410 Centre Street 1 block east of Campbell Street Cross Street Creek Drive and Centre St. Best Kept secret in Rapid City, well drinks $2.50, Domestic Beer $2.50, call drinks $2.75 and up. Center is now offering Rapid HIV Testing

Black Hills Center for Equality, Inc now is able to offer both Conventional Orasure Testing as well as Rapid HIV Testing. With the Rapid testing you receive your results in 20-40 minutes. All testing is free and confidential.

Have you ever wanted to go riding and didn’t have anyone to ride with? Here is your opportunity! Cheryl Cole (Hotdog lady from Sturgis) is putting together a group of riders who are interested in meeting on a regular basis. We can get together and do runs and rides throughout the spring, summer, and fall, we can do Poker runs, toy runs, campouts, etc. (come together once or twice a month to socialize during the winter).
